Capitol Punishment

I am actually conservative on this point. I feel that if there is a serial killer out there that hurt so many families and poses such a threat to society, he/she should no longer be able to live. They clearly enjoy killing and feel no remorse. Their lives in prison would useless, other than for them to maybe feel some sort of pride in their crimes. I don't feel that it should be used in all horrible cases, but in ones that there is a confession or all proof and evidence cannot be ignored, the death penalty is an option.
The liberals feel that it is murder and unjust. It wrong to kill the killers, it doesn't prove a point or scare criminals into doing less to avoid the death penalty. Supposedly, it costs less to keep a prisoner in jail for his entire life instead of killing him as well. In cases where people are wrongfully accused, they shouldn't be killed on wrong pretenses. I completely understand this point, and that is why I feel that it shouldn't be used regularly, just in extreme cases when the killer is properly indentified with no doubts in mind.

gun control

I think that more gun control is needed. The second amendment protects the right of the militia and police to protect us. The "assault-rifle" ban is not enough to protect us because most don't use grenades to hurt others in other than combat. If hand guns were banned that 11,000 lives could be saved, and it would be more difficult for them to be sold on the black market.
Conservatives feel that you need your own weapon in order to protect your wellbeing from someone else with a hand gun. They also feel that the second amendment protects all Americans with the right of bearing arms. They think that running background checks on people work, and that it is more important to have the ability to protect yourself.

gay marriage

I feel that gay marriage should be legalized. I feel that people in love should be able to declare their feelings legally, and reap the benefits of a married couple. It doesn't matter the gender of the people getting married. It is really unfortunate that all this discrimination is going on, considering the fact that sexual orientation is not a choice.
The conservatives think that marriage is sacred and is meant for a man and woman. Men and women are meant to get together in order to procreate and keep humankind alive. They feel that sexual orientation is a choice and anything other than a man and woman relationship is considered wrong by the bible, and the five major religions.

Abortion

I am very pro-choice. I feel that it is a woman's choice to choose the conditions under which she has a child. In many aspects, woman are not ready emotionally or financially to go through the raising of a child. Of course there are some emotional repercussions, but this is a a trade off for the repercussion of children. I know that in North Dakota or something they outlawed abortion in order to challenge the law. They want it to be taken to the supreme court because one of the judges is new and conservative. They think that they would force it to become illegal nationally again.
The conservatives feel that the fetus is a baby. They also think that you should deal with the entirety of your consequences. They think that abortion is murder.

They Listen To us to make money

I am totally cool with the fact that we are the biggest and best money making demographic for many products. I think that it it important to understand what you get sucked into, and that for some teens- they don't even know theyve been brainwashed to think that they can only buy work out clothes from underarmor... I know that I am affected by the ads and I buy magazines full of them.. but I don't necessarily emulate what I see. I think it's a really good business move to reel in on my demographic because it is the money maker. As long as youre not obsessed with labels yu should be fine, but there are people who are and don't even notice it. Those are the people that I feel bad for because theyll be like that forever........

She's a Lady

Tom Jones- She's a Lady

The song basically is about how this special lady is really special to him because she is perfect, but then he explains that the only reason that she is perfect is cause she can deal with him and still love him. He doesn't talk about her negatives, only things that make him better by being with her. He relies on her for his better half. He loves her cause she still loves him despite all his negatives, and well, vice versa. It quite simple, but is very memorable and most know the chorus... The song actually just got a lot more romantic, because the end of the song shows that he is talking about a particular lady, not just a supposed one. Tom Jones is the best, seriously.

TOM JONES/TIGER TOM

Tom Jones definitly opened up many windows when it comes to pop music today. He pushed sexuality in pop music, in ways that were never done before. He probably paved to way for Britney Spears. He had a very booming voice and his chest hair is insured. He had a very successful carreer in Las Vegas that sparked Elvis' interest in performing there... He brought popularity to singing words that were not his. He didn't write his own lyrics , just like most popular artists today. He even did a popular cover of Prince's song "Kiss." He mainstreamed the pop icon, the pop artist. He continues to sing and collaborate with current artists like Wyclef and Robbie Williams.

ELVIS IS HOT

i cant imagine a life without elvis. he started the whole rock'n'roll rebel thing that girls love. He also was the first to become a product. He was on everything. I think that it is really weird when artists/musicians do that. i think i would loose respect for elvis if he was on my bar of soap, etc. Today many artists are in car commercials, and are spokespersons for weird products in asian commercials. I understand why they are used, to spike sales, but i think it is really weird to sell them as a product. I know that Mary j. Blige is in chevy commercials, and I think that is plain weird. It makes them look like they are all about money, not about the music. Nevertheless, ELVIS WILL ALWAYS BE A STUD.

elvis has left the building....

First Favorite Band

I am pretty sure that my first favorite band was the Spice Girls. I was totally in love with them. I even got a Ginger Spice barbie for one of my birthdays. I also own Spice World, which is probably the worst movie with, but highest grossing... I'm super pissed that I couldn't get tickets for their latest stop here in Chicago. Everything was great about them. GIRL POWER. bahaha
